About Us

Way back in 1935 J.O Brasington worked for a local plumbing supply business. The business was primarily a wholesaler, but quickly found themselves doing residential and light commercial service and repair as well. Mr. Brasington was working in that service division when the owner of the company announced that he wanted to be a wholesaler only and was going to close down the service end of the business. Well, Mr. Brasington, who really enjoyed his job and the people he met on a daily basis, did not want to see the division close so he asked his boss if he would sell him that part of the business.

After some negotiation a deal was struck and Brasington Plumbing and Heating Co. was born.

In the years that would follow J.O. “Odell” Brasington worked hard to build an impeccable reputation in the Columbia SC market. With the help of his son R.O. “Bob” Brasington who worked in the business for 45 years, the Brasington Family became known as the best and most reliable plumbing and heating company in town.

We are proud to carry on that tradition today, as the 3^rd generation is now carrying the torch

as R.”Berry” Brasington and his sister Lisa, who have worked in the business for over 30 years.
